Developed by the mental health network, with Liverpool John Moores University, and launched in November 2015, this pathway and supporting report are designed to inform the commissioning of depression services and to ensure equity of access and quality provision of care.

Cheshire and Merseyside SCN has supported the production of the 'NO MORE' Zero Suicide strategy by funding Dr Ed Coffey, the leading expert on zero suicide, to work with the Cheshire & Merseyside Suicide Reduction Partnership Board. The strategy aims to connect people, raise awareness of suicide and create the momentum for change across Public Health, Health & Wellbeing Boards, Primary Care, Secondary Care and the wider community.

As part of our support and guidance for commissioners on developing their local transformation plans for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), we held a joint SCNs event on Eating Disorder Services in October 2015. These presentations from national and regional speakers cover: understanding the commissioning guidance, outcomes, procurement and the assurance process.

This report, produced in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, explores case studies of the transition experiences of young people with long term conditions and disabilities who have recently moved from children’s to adult services in Cheshire and Merseyside. The report has received extensive praise from Dr Jacqueline Cornish and Kath Evans and will be showcased as a model of excellence for transition work going forward.
