Northern England Clinical Senate News update - Sept 2017

Northern_Eng_Senate_logo.pngWe’re pleased to share an overview of the work of our colleagues at the Northern England Clinical Senate in support of clinical commissioning groups undertaking service transformation.

The Northern England Clinical Senate covers the North East of England and West, North and East Cumbria. They are currently working on, or have recently concluded, various pieces of review work including:

  • The review of proposals for three Midwife-led Units in Berwick, Alnwick and Hexham in rural Northumberland for Northumberland CCG

  • The review of proposals for the Liverpool Women’s Hospital on behalf of the Cheshire and Merseyside Clinical Senate for Liverpool CCG - View the review here

  • The review of the proposals for Acute and Urgent Paediatric Services as part of the Path To Excellence Programme across Sunderland and South Tyneside for Sunderland CCG and South Tyneside CCG

  • The review of proposed changes to Mental Health pathways in North Yorkshire in collaboration with the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Senate for Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby CCG.

Further details of these reviews are available on request once the referring CCG has made the final Clinical Senate Review Reports public in-line with the agreed publication timelines.
