27th March 2019

heart-700141_1920.jpg13 Lancashire and South Cumbria initiatives to support suicide prevention and reduce self-harm within the community have been awarded funding totalling over £40,000. The projects will receive funding ranging in value from £500 to £5,000.

The Suicide Prevention and Self-Harm Reduction Innovation Fund was developed as part of Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria’s Suicide Action Plan. The SCN – who developed the innovation fund process for Lancashire and South Cumbria – was part of the panel reviewing the bid submissions and will go on to monitor the implementation and delivery of the initiatives, evaluate their outcomes and effectiveness and report back to the ICS suicide prevention Board.

A further round of funding will be available in April-May 2019 and more details of how to apply will be released nearer the time by Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria.
