Celebrating 70 years of the NHS

18th July 2018

NHS_70_Lancs_S_Cumbria_sml.jpgOur teams in Cheshire & Merseyside and Lancashire & South Cumbria have been enthusiastically joining in with events and activities to celebrate the NHS in its 70th year.

On 29th June, our Cheshire and Merseyside team came together with the NHS Innovation Agency and other tenants at Vanguard House for a Tea Party, raising a cuppa to our beloved NHS as well as vital funds for one of our many NHS charities. Together we consumed ‘tons’ of tea and cake and raised a wonderful £130 for the UK Sepsis Trust, with lots of fun had by all.

NHS70_group_and_cake_29.6.18.JPGOn 5th July, our Lancashire and South Cumbria team joined colleagues from NHS England in Lancashire & South Cumbria to mark the 70th birthday with a photograph of all NHS staff. All staff and patients from Preston Business Centre were invited to join us and together we spelt out 70 with our people on the front lawn. After the photo everyone gathered in the staff room for a friendly cuppa and cakes at our very own ‘Big 7Tea’ party.

Both occasions were a wonderful opportunity for everyone to take out time together, to celebrate and be proud of our hard work, achievements and those of the wider NHS in supporting people across the North West Coast and beyond.
