Working together to prevent suicide in Lancashire and South Cumbria

26th March 2019

Hands_-_Central.jpgThe first of our five Lancashire and South Cumbria community feedback events on suicide prevention and self-harm reduction took place recently. If you’ve not yet booked onto your local event, there’s still time to secure your place and get involved – Book now.

Over 60 people attended the Central Lancashire Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) event at Grasshoppers in Preston and it was wonderful to see so much interaction and enthusiasm for supporting the vital suicide prevention work being undertaken across the ICS.

We fed back on all the activity so far, what will be happening in the future and how people can get involved. There was much eagerness to get involved, help remove the stigma around suicide and offers to share the Zero Suicide Alliance video across their communities.

With thanks to the event leads: Neil Smith, Multi-Agency Strategic Lead for Mental Health at the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICS, Vicki Wagstaff, Quality Improvement Lead for Suicide Prevention and Emily McCurrie, Suicide Prevention Training Coordinator, both from the SCN.

Book onto your ICP’s event

All events run from 3pm to 6pm.
